Joe Pate is an award winning photographer living in Vernon, in the beautiful Okanagan Valley BC Canada. Joe's love of nature and travel, combined with a playful sense of humor is the perfect combination for creating compelling photographic art.
Joe developed a passion for photography in his early twenties. He opened a photography studio and framing shop while working full time at a energy utility and raising his three young sons as a single parent.
During those early years Joe became well known along the Sunshine Coast of Southwestern BC. He had a number of successful solo photography exhibits and won National Photo Competitions.
Operating his own successful business in the energy efficiency field led Joe away from his passion for photography for several years. Now semi retired Joe has rekindled his love of photography.His wife Rozanne, a talented digital Photo Artist, inspired and encouraged Joe to take his photos to another level by adding photo compositing and various software techniques to enhance his artistic repertoire.
